OUR GOALS

Recognizing the issues, ActionPAKT starts with education. Student volunteers teach their peers about a certain issue in an unbiased way through presentations and, occasionally, an account of their personal experiences relating to the matter. Members suggest and vote to select topics, so meetings are always about a subject which the majority finds interesting.

To teach students how to formulate arguments & disagree productively (and politely), we foster healthy, moderated discussions. Exposing people to a variety of viewpoints especially outside of a partisan lens reduces polarization and increases productivity as a group becomes more able to find common ground and brainstorm effective compromises or solutions.

The most important aspect of the club is teaching students how to take action and help issues in a non-political way (so as not to alienate anyone) through community service. Students organize initiatives through our platform, bolstering their skills in leadership and cooperation.
