ART
Artistic Projects
Thanks to our members' diverse interests, ActionPAKT has been able to organize creative projects to make an impact all while allowing students to have fun and destress. Art truly has the power to brighten up someone's day, and ActionPAKT has worked with various organizations to share this positivity with those who need it the most.

Painting in the Park: To brighten up the days of patients with terminal illness at Sylvester Cancer Center, 16 students earned 40 service hours by creating 8 beautiful paintings to be displayed in patient rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, and other areas in the hospital to brighten a patient’s stay.
To support The Butterfly Project for genocide awareness, ActionPAKT hosted a booth at their Bagel Brunch in fall 2021. Ten volunteers taught elementary students and other guests about unconscious bias and how that can lead to discrimination. Then, they did 50+ pages of butterfly-themed artwork which was donated to Color A Smile, a charity that sends art to terminal illness patients, military soldiers, people in nursing homes, and anyone else who may need a smile. Students and participants earned 40 service hours for their participation.
During Winter 2022, ActionPAKT Mumbai's volunteers traveled to Sneha Sadan's House #3 to educate 10-15 children about discrimination and intolerance, encouraging them to adopt a worldview of acceptance and love. Sneha Sadan serves low-income children in India who are either orphaned or only have one parent who is unable to care for them, providing these children with a home, a family, food, water, healthcare, and most importantly, an education. The students created 7 pieces of artwork symbolizing diversity and inclusion, using darker tones to color their characters' skin colors for the first time.
Around spring 2023, ActionPAKT West Broward began to collect bottle caps and other "trash" to be repurposed for Earth Day. They created art using these recycled materials to be displayed around the school.
