EDUCATION
Meetings & Educational Service
ActionPAKT's first goal is education. Every week in each chapter, 2 members with a passion for leadership are selected to create informational, unbiased presentations in order to educate everyone at the meeting. Topics are chosen by members beforehand, and a brief discussion follows. Aside from this, ActionPAKT prioritizes education even outside of our chapters. We create educational resources for the general public and we work to teach younger students crucial lessons, championing equity in education access in our various communities.

Educate for Afghanistan: After the Biden Administration pulled U.S. troops out of Afghanistan and the Taliban took control, a refugee crisis ensued. Fifteen students earned 60 service hours by creating a four-minute educational video after researching and speaking with people in Afghanistan.
During Winter 2022, ActionPAKT Mumbai's volunteers travelled to Sneha Sadan's House #3 to educate 10-15 children about discrimination and intolerance, encouraging them to adopt a worldview of acceptance and love. Sneha Sadan serves low-income children in India who are either orphaned or only have one parent who is unable to care for them, providing these children with a home, a family, food, water, healthcare, and most importantly, an education.
During meetings, hundreds of students have learned about a multitude of topics through presentations, Q&A, and discussions.
The I SPI series on the ActionPAKT website hopes to inform students and other individuals about cultures all across the world. Through quality journalism, we focus on cultural celebrations and customs -- especially those which are misunderstood -- in order to create a more accepting society for all.
To help educate young elementary schoolers about Earth Day, ActionPAKT volunteers conducted a workshop to teach kids about global warming and how we can help prevent it. Then, we planted potted plants to take care of and help the environment.
On May 19, 2023, ActionPAKT hosted the JeoparMania! Trivia Night for almost 200 students with a $100 prize for one lucky winner (out of 45 contestants). All these students raised $2,374 to support the Lupus Foundation of America during Lupus Month.
